Display Maestro for Android

I have used Display M. for 3 or 4 years now and it has allowed me to fine tune both my Android display and the epson projector it is attached to. Unfortunately, Koingo software has stopped updating the app store version and with the new update to 10.11.6, Display M. no longer opens. I went to the Koingo software site and see that there is a new version (in fact it looks like it has been updated 3 times on their website since the app store version is 2.0.5 and the Koingo site version is 2.0.8). Upon downloading the update - it works! The downside is that they don’t accept your license from the app store and want you to buy the app again. I used it as a trial for a while and everything was fine until the trial ran out. I sent 3 requests for support to their website and received 3 automated help tickets. In the month afterwards, not a single contact from them! I can’t wait any longer so I purchased another display resolution app which does everything that Display M. did, and they have replied to both of my inquiries within a few hours.

Been using it since the first Retina Android. Sometimes it doesn’t display a monitor when quickly unplugging/replugging a monitor, but “Rescan Displays” action fixes the issue. Overall it works well, esp. when you need the extra real-estate on a Retina display at full resolution.

Do not download it from here- Application will not open. Download from website in upper right corner. That one works good, but I was not seeing any more resolutions than are available in other freeware on the app store. I needed 1440x900 according to my monitor's manufacturer. This is not an option, not even an unsafe one. Obviously I don't know anything about what the requirements are for generating a list of resolutions to choose from, but it seems to me that the ability to imput custom sizes would be a desirable feature for the the target demographic- people that download this application in a desperate hope to make their hardware work. For now this will probably help most people, not everyone though.

I checked the release notes on your dev site and all you have to do is release Version 1.24 to the App Store for Mavericks Support. This is not cool

This is a great little app for anyone who wants to change the resolution of their display. There was a time when it was easy to go to your System Preferences and change the resolution but those days are now long gone. This app is easy to use and shows a great variety of options. I was having trouble hooking up a large display to my Android and with Display Maestro showing me the possible resolutions along with some online research I came to realize that I was using the wrong sort of cable which was why my choices in resolution were so limited. Most people want their screen at maximum resolution and just want to keep it there. Display Maestro will help verify where your monitor is set and enable you to change it if desired. This is indispensable.
