Been using this app for quite awhile! It has so many great features & the developer continues to provide free updates!!! I purchased the unlimited features, so I have the ability to create unlimited lists & items. The price comparison for items is invaluable! It saves me money every time I shop and provides the ability to keep track of the price changes of an item. I can organize items within a store, add photos & add items to the vast database if I scan an item that isn’t already in the database. There are many more features & flexibility. The developer is very responsive & has continued to update the app with very nice enhancements! Really appreciate the free updates & also that there is NO subscription & recurring costs that many apps are going to. Thanks to the continued dedication of the developer!
IntelliList One confusing app * There are no grocery categories, they are defined as aisles * To copy/move an item from one list to another requires each item to be copy/moved individually. Nothing simple like selecting a whole bunch at once then do the copy/move once. * Each item takes up a large amount of screen space, only 4 items show, compact mode shows 6. Shrink those icons or ditch them altogether. * App shows all functions available for each item, functions that are infrequently used such as copy/move should be under a menu and expanded if used, clean up the clutter. * You have to say if an item is taxable and it must be done for each item, what a waste of time. Yeah, where I shop 1000s of items have no tax and 1000s have tax, riiiggghhhttt… * Doing this on hundreds of items gets old * App downloads hundreds of items after install to build a preloaded list. 1st 3 items entered were not on the list. * You cannot duplicate an item but you can add a store name. So… if I you purchased the same item from 2-3 stores, how would you compare, the only way would be to add a note. We all do it, depends where you are, nobody always buys from the same store. It would cost you more in time and gas to travel to your go to store. Pros The most useful feature this app has over all others is that you can create a smaller list from the master list. Been looking for an app that does this and this app does. You have a master list of hundreds of items but when you shop you only need for example 5-47 items. This creates a focus list. Why all other shopping lists do not do this is beyond me. They all insist to show all items and no way to highlight what you plan to buy. Yeah, everyone buys everything on their master list each time they shop. This requires constant scrolling and remembering what is needed because you cannot even highlight your items. Nobody shops like that except developers of apps. What a useless workflow. –––––– The cons of this app however out weighs the most useful feature. You have to pay to use other features and functions but there are too many cons and paying to find more cons is not worth it.
Once you have input prices in from stores, it makes comparing the prices easy. If the developer reads this, I would suggest they add in a way to shop individual “stores” that have been added in the app so one can update the prices for that store easily. Also I think that the tax setting could have an option to be assigned to specific stores, (as some people live on city/state borders with stores having different tax laws).
We’ve been using this app for several years now and love the functionality of it. We don’t limit it to groceries, adding categories for all of our shopping needs.
This is the best app for grocery lists on the Android. Does exactly what the developer describes in the write up, plus no data collection! I highly recommend it!
