Took me all day to input my wines, and less then a week later, it crashed and I lost everything! Could not find a reason why, just said it was damaged and to delete the app and reinstall. Threre should be a back up program. This is useless if it keeps deleting all my wine libary. So many ways to make this programe more user friendly.
Problems that need to be fixed. 1. The purpose of a wine storage app is to keep track of how old the bottles in your cellar are. Your main page spreadsheet doesn’t even have a category for “Date Purchased,” even though there are columns for almost all of the other information you have on the individual wine’s data-entry page. So I can’t sort by that information. And you can’t edit your preferences on the main page spreadsheet. 2. You need to have two basic categories: “Wines I Own” and “Wines I’ve Drunk.” And when you edit your wine in the “Wines I Own Category” after you open it, enter the date you opened it (another piece of information you need to include), rate it and make whatever notes, you need to be able to move the wine from “Wines I Own” to “Wines I’ve Drunk.” Some kind of pop-up dialogue box needs to show up to do this. Again, this should be basic stuff. 3. In the categories that I am able to make, I’m not able to have any one individual wine in more than one category at a time. So if I make a category for “Wine Spectator Rated Wines” and a category for “Spanish Reds” I should be able to have the same bottle in each category if I need/choose to. But I’m not able to do that in your app. 4. Charts need to be better. At least generate a chart showing percentage of wines from each varietal. I’ve put in that information in the box you provide. Why didn’t you create a chart to show how that is broken down. Your “Charts”option is awful as it is. (For those of you looking for a good wine app for Android, I know it’s impossible to find. They are all terrible. But this one is not the answer…yet.
I bought this ap, thinking it would be OK. However, I have tried entering five or six different wines and have decided I will do without any inventory if this is the best app. Directions are minimal but they state there is no “save” button because everything is saved continuously. I have found everything goes to zero whenever I leave a screen. I will remove this ap and wait for a better program.
