Booxter Lite for Android

I downloaded the Lite version as a way of checking out the full application. I own a lot of books without bar codes, or even ISBNs. But the search feature on Booxter seems limited to searching by ISBN or LCCN (Library of Congress Catalog number). As a result, 2 of the 3 books I tried to enter as a trial required me to manually enter title, author, etc. By contrast, Delicious Library allowed search by just title and got all three books correct immediately. Based on the fact that I have a lot of old used books, I couldn't really recommend this program very strongly. It would take me forever to enter my collection. What's nice is that it does search the Library of Congress (but again, only with numbers).

The scanning feature get the code wrong. Manually entering a code is hit and miss. Couldnt even search and find the popular EURYTHMICS TOUCH music CD info. First would not accept the code, then came up with no hits on manula entry. Pretty lame...

Booxter seems a perfectly fine software for those who have a pretty regular and commercial collection. But in just my 3rd CD, it got the code completely messed up and it doesn't give you an option of finding a second possibility under that same barcode. The layout is also very wonky, with track lists all crammed together into a tiny square. Not a bit useful. But if you have a collection that is fairly mainstream and not very interested in minutia, Booxter may be more of your like.

Totally worthless for comic books. This is one app I am glad I did not buy. The concept is great, only if it worked.

Great trial version, hit the 30 entry limit before I knew it. Had some issues initially with scanning barcodes via iSight, but found I was holding the code too close to the camera. Worked much better and faster once I held it farther back. Works great in conjunction with the free Android app for scanning!
