My travel plans were changed and I was only able to stay at the hotel one night instead of four. I tried and tried to cancel the rest of my hotel reservation through Expedia with no luck. Tried online several times and tried to contact an agent, but just kept getting referred back to the same site that couldn’t help me. The hotel was able to cancel the last 2 nights of my stay and supposedly Expedia will be refunding my money. Who knows? I will NEVER use a third part booking site again.
We booked through Expedia versus direct because Expedia had a promotional for a free bottle of wine at check in. When we checked in and asked about the wine, they said it expired in February and no longer honored the promotion. They too were upset because they have been asking Expedia to delete that from their advertising. We all lost out :(
