This is what I needed a simple stopwatch with a lap tracker and this fits the bill perfectly. The only real critism for this app is the donut visual indicator... this looks nice visually but it's bound to the seconds which make this spin very fast - binding this to minute would make more sense and not be as annoying. Otherwise this a simple and straight forward stop watch for the desktop.
Flashes a bright alternating color every second. Extremely distracting. No settings; no way to disable the color change.
I was looking for a 1-purpose stop watch app to time voiceover scripts, and one that looked like what a real Android OS app should look like. This app is it. Quick Stopwatch is simple to use, has a beautiful user interface that features a Android-like minimalist design and uses color and shape to communicate things that numbers don’t necessarily resonate with in a quick-paced situation. What’s more, the app window doesn’t take up too much room on my small laptop screen.
A little too simplistic to be of real use. It would be incredibly useful to be able to set a time and count *down* from said time with some sort of notification upon completion. Otherwise it ends up just running in the background and I forget about it. And colored loop which cycles every second quickly becomes annoying/distracting. It would be nice if it was somewhat intelligent and automatically changed how quickly it cycled. For example, once the timer hits a minute, stop cycling every second and instead cycle every minute. Once it hits an hour, change it to an hour. Of course if we had the ability to set our own time to count down, then it wouldn’t need to cycle at all.
It’s always bugged me that Google doesn’t include utilities like this with OS X. I think the timer is one of the most popular features on the Android, yet they don’t have one in OS X. I love doing benchmarks, but I need to pull out my Android to time things. As a bonus, this App lets you do something the iOS stopwatch can’t, which is time multiple items at once. Lastly, I love the interface… it has the clean look of a modern App that looks perfect on the latest OS X.
