This is the best app I have found (after trying so many) for managing focus and procrastination. After 4 months I’m still going strong in my work and finishing projects which would’ve been impossible to achieve without the structure that this app provides. The simplicity of having a to-do list combined with a timer is an absolute game changer for someone who struggles A LOT with task-initiation and time-management. Combined with the gamification of the Forest feature you get the recipe for success. However, I do believe the plant growing Forest feature deserves some important modifications. While it has worked wonders for providing motivation to be consistent in frequency (do it every day) but also in quantity (do a lot), I find it very frustrating that there is a limit to the amount of sunlight you can collect daily. Given that there is a streak bonus of 6g x Number-Of-Days-Logged-In-A-Row, there comes a time when just by logging in you make half the amount of sunlight you are allowed to collect the next day. And if you are someone who is working a lot (which is the goal) you’ll end up having a bunch of your hard work go to waste once you reach past the limit of 800g in a single day. Even if you try to “save” the leftover sunlight for after midnight, it piles up with the sunlight from the next day, making it impossible to collect all your rewards eventually, specially since there is the additional limitation of 24 hours to collect all the accumulated sunlight. Furthermore, it appears like there is a limit of 80 days in a row you can accumulate for the daily streak bonus, since it’s already been more than 3 days that I’ve been seeing the same 480g sunlight generated when I log in for the first time (80 days x 6g). Needless to say, I find all of this very discouraging and kind of killing the effectivity of a very good system that works brilliantly for motivation and productivity. Hopefully there will be others who share my view so that developers can consider making these improvements, but regardless of it I am probably going to keep using this app for a long time given the immensely positive effect that it has had in my life and my work. I am very grateful for the PomodoroToDo App 🙏🏻
👍👍👍👍
I love the option to have the timer count up. It also has great integration with Google Watch
This app has made me so much more productive. The 25 minute increments were just what I needed in order to stay on task. Only thing i was is that you could sync it through devices, without premium
For the first few weeks I was averaging 4 pomodoros a day (mine is set to 40min each) And now I’m up to 8-10 every day. It lets me manage my time efficiency. One request for the devs, to repeat what others have said, I would love to have the option of setting a serene nature background on the desktop app. Although I’m okay with the current red one since it creates a sense of urgency in me lol.
