Its worth the money to buy, although it’s far from fool proof at what it does. pro: chapterizing feature con: closes often without cause. newest update is amazing, the app went through three books that it used to close on in minutes.
This app is a waste of money! First, you can only play it on iTunes. If you can actually find the file once you have transferred to your library. Second, the voices are of such poor quality- I thought for a $20 text-to-speech app I would be getting some amazing natural speech. NOPE! I am trying to get my money back from Google. I have purchased about 5 TTS apps because I use them for studying and reading school material while I commute (none of which cost more than $5) and they all work better, have more options, and sound better than this piece-of-crap app. I never write reviews- and I get dud apps every now and then, but whatever, I’m only out a couple bucks. But THIS APP cost me $20 for basically garbage. The developers must be laughing all the way to the bank!
I always hated reading in the car or when my eyes were feeling tired, but now I can listen to it, making it even more interesting on a whole new level! I have been searching for an app like this for years, and I finally found it here! Worth much more than 19.99
It could use some more work. The first book I tryed caused the program to crash. No biggy I just processed the book in chapter batches. It would have been nice to have an unselect all button since 50 chapters were selected by default and required me to uncheck each one. An alternative method would be to do some size calculations before the audio convetions so the program can create audio files in batches for you and add something like (ch1-ch10),(ch11-ch21) to the .m4b file names.
I would love if a future update would be able to make track breaks at the epub’s chapter headings.
