I use this app to scan my school work. I had the enterprise edition - which I paid for in 2017. Never had an issue until I got my new Android. I found this verison - community edition. and downloaded free. It worked immediately and is great for what I need it for. It scans with the same quality of the original document - it will not improve quality - if the quality started off bad.
...and this was the first pick. ... and did the job perfectly. Plus it solves the problem of finding something that I can setup for those less technically inclined. Drop Dead Simple. Love it! Side Note: The more isolated your source is will help you with a much better time on the results. A picture of a document on a table. Load it in Preview, zoom in to make the desired text full screen and snap a screen shot of that. Command-Shift-4 and then frame what you are going to scan. Use that for the source.
Scan results of simple written text on paper... pure JIBBERISH. Not even close! Guess I don't have to worry about viewing or buying their enterprise version! hashtag EPIC FAIL #EpicFail
This did a great job creating live text from .PNG files that contained multiple languages. Thank you for including the extra languages! The accuracy looks almost spot on and will save time in having to retype all of these. Ran on 2017 Android running Catalina 10.15.3
It should have disclosed the in app purchase prior to download - it made itself appear that it was completely free. Its actually only free for ONE SINGLE PAGE. I didnt see that in the initial presentation at all. So if you want to OCR a doc thats more than one page long, it will cost you $30 to buy the multi page pro version of this app.
