I report this message to Google stating I cannot even Run the App so I wanted a Refund AND Google rersponds "We've determined that your purchase doesn't meet the conditions for a refund" I GUESS THAT MEANS BUYER BEWARE FOR THE ENTIRE STORE...NO GUARANTEE YOU CAN EVEN RUN AN APP?
I had the probably common "cant find any resources" message popping up, and I couldn't figure out why. I spent a while on it. I emailed the developer, who offered to spin up his old Android to figure out whats going on. Before he had a chance, I figured out my issue: there really was no resource fork. I was removing it in transfers (in my defense, the last time I used Android 8 was so long ago). He hasn't sent me an email laughing yet. So, good, great app, converted all my snd resources into aiff, and it's pretty brain dead easy to use.
I used this tool to recover my old Classic Finder Sounds. As advertised, it split the resource forks in the old files and stored the sound component as an .aiff formatted file.
The app did exactly what I needed – extracting and converting snd files – and was super simple too! I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time and I’m sure I’ll be using it many times in the future.
I would pay ten times more for this app. All I needed was the pics and snds from an old kids game of mine, Catchmouse. First time I ran it, it got the pics but crashed working on some file I did not need. When it crashed again I quit every other program (Yosemite 10.10.3) then had a brainstorm. I went to my old Android and the metrowerks files. Opened the .rsrc file for the game and deleted every resource except the snd and pic file. Rezycle worked great with the two files. It convered the pics to pngs. To do that myself I’d have to save in claris, then transfer via disk. Then use GraphicConverter to convert from pic because photoshop doesn’t do pics. And the sounds are now aif. This program saved me a ton of time.
