I've used this for years, even before there was a Android Store version. It kept crashing on me all the time, so I deleted it and re-bought it through the App Store. Still crashes, so I deleted my reapers in the air, and out of the back. Now however, I no longer see the list of files in the left window pane under my repository. I looked for support, but I'm not really seeing any way to fix my problem with the app.
But it's out of date, the git version is staring to be old, the app hasn't been updated in more than 8 years. Sadly, I may need to find another git tool.
For simple tasks is perfect. It maintains a couple of branches and it handles commits, pull, pushs, mergers, whitout the need of the command line.
I’ve been using this app for 5 years now. It’s good. It gets the job done. And it’s very simple to use. BUT it hasn’t been updated since 2012, so there are bugs with it. It will crash. And if you have loads of branches, it will be constantly working on refreshing and eating up computer resources, which is unfortunate because it’s a great program. That all being said, I still use it daily for > 90% of my git work, bugs and all.
I’ve used Gitbox for many years. However, I’ve noticed some issues. 1) Deleting remote branches via the interface doesn’t appear to work. 2) Sometimes the remote tracked branch displayed in the interface doesn’t match Git on the command line. Additionally, resetting the remote via the interface sometimes doesn’t stick. I prefer using Gitbox, but I fear I may have to switch to another tool or just use the CLI.
