I've been a paying customer for well over a decade and lived through the crazy times when sync would break and the UI was basic and things would go haywire now and then. But I stuck it out because it was so useful and was improving every release. Now? No, not improving any more. They seem focused on only doing groupware kinds of things and have let the Android and iOS versions go off the rails. They no longer support setting fonts and now my 9800 documents are not legible because I have a visual impairment. Why pay for unusable software? They seem to abandoned the native apps and have rewritten it in some weird crossplatform thing that doesn't follow Android UI guidlines at all. If you scale it up to read things, it scales up all of the UI! It is like using bad software from 1998! Maybe it is cheaper for them? I dunno! Maybe they don't care about Google customers any more? I dunno! I've been forced to switch to Legacy Evernote to get at my existing notes. I've used Yarle to move nearly all notes to Obsidian and life is a bit better. I've decided to let my current subscription run out and not renew it next time. Pity, it was a great app for over a decade and helped me tame all the complex documents I'd gathered. Now? Meh.
Version 10.39.7 is constantly having rendering issues and sucking up a huge amount of cpu and memory. I've been a user for over 10 years and pay a healthy $ for this and I can barely use it. Please fix. Are there any recommnedations for improving performance?
They removed the ability to select more than 50 notes. Makes exporting large collections difficult to do, among other things. This was part of my workflow. It's a problem. (Not that they ever had very good export options -- they didn't and don't. But I still used the feature for 50 notes.) Why are they removing features?
They ran this into the ground. I have multiple copies of the same note. Move the "old" one to the trash, and it says my new one (my super master to do list!) is also in the trash. Take it out, takes all the duplicates out. Typing is super slow recently. Don't even try to re-order lists. I will be leaving to Google Notes ASAP. Goodbye finally forever. Glad I never paid. And, certainly never will.
The title says it all. I used to love this app. Now it is a constant source of headaches.
