So happy to see this updated. Easy to customize and so intuitive to use that you’ll be happy with it even if you don’t choose to customize it. Have used it for years and I hope the developer will be relaunching their premium app.
Started using this app after the bugs and glitches Google’s podcast app became to frequent, namely constant building of the ‘documents and data’ and an inability to clear it without deleting the app. RSS radio is pretty good about its storage, when I delete a downloaded podcast it actually deletes it from a phones’ storage. The silence skip and playback speed modifier are nice as well, I can actually get through 8 plus hours of podcast before leaving work. One gripe I have is that sometimes, and it seems to happen more often the higher I move the playback speed limiter, there is a glitch that causes the app to skip entire segments of podcasts even if words are being said, this also seems to feed a glitch that causes the app to refuse to go back in an episode without closing the app entirely. This might be because I’m still on a 6s but when opening other apps such as mail or a browser while listening, the podcast will actually stagger and stop playing for as long as seven seconds. The app functions well with CarPlay most of the time, and this might be something outside of their control, but there are times where the app doesn’t interface at all with CarPlay.
The best podcast player. I use it everyday. One recent drawback: I used to be able to control the app from my WATCH. Can we get that working again?
Thanks for fixing the m4a files support. I have been using this app for years and years, surprisingly still no others even compare. This is the only podcast app that does everything I need. Truly customizabke listening. I even import my audiobooks just to listen in this app, they have the speed control, the equilizer, AND volume control. No other apps have all 3 of these. That said I cant complain, but I would like to give few suggestions to make a great app even greater! •if could add a way make more then just the 1 import category, I would love to seperate some of the things I import so I dont have to constantly change the settings for different ones. •The player is really great, but if could update the speed control to allow for 1/2 speeds that would be even greater, such as 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, and so on. •Maybe a better way to do the backup and account, I always get the notice its tracking "to many shows" and I dont listen to them all but I also dont like to delete them and then not be able to find again. • Deffinetly needs a better search method. It is very hard to find stuff without knowing exact name of podcast. I usually have to search on google for podcasts to try then manuelly enter the name in rss.
I have used this app for around 10 years, and have found that this is a superior podcast platform. It is easy to use, customizable, and doesn’t over complicate the listening experience. It is what every podcast app should be. This app hands down out performs all other podcast apps! Trust me this is the app you want.
