Good recording interface. Easy to use. Voice activation with tunable sensitivity, which is lacking in Google’s Voice Memos. ‘Dictaphone Voice Recorder’ has decent voice file exporting and importing ability via Air Drop and Voice Memos, and iTunes. It sorts your files by date and you can name them however you want, and those things are absent in Google’s Voice Memos. It still needs the ability to sort files by name and doesn’t have that. Reliable, but no support from publisher.

Originally I loved this app. But after much use… I discovered that if you are using it on your watch and you stop the recording but forget to tap on save (there’s an option for cancel or save) you lose the entire recording and can’t recover it. Being on my watch and arm it makes it difficult because sometimes it gets bumped before I can push save and I’ve lost really important recordings that way. I’ve searched and searched online to try to figure out how to recover it and I haven’t found any way possible. I wish the default set up was to save it rather than delete it if that happens. I have sent four emails to customer support trying to recover very important recording I had and I have had no response whatsoever. So I’m changing my review to one star
