Wegmans for Android

Very stupid app. It doesn’t let you choose to unenroll from their spam advertising notifications. The only way to stop the spam is to turn off all notifications for this app on the phone settings, and to thereby lose the ability to receive any legitimate notifications from the app. This app is basically a piece of malware. I keep getting messages like “it’s time to grill, come buy steaks” and I even get these stupid spam notifications on my Google Watch. They think they are being smart or slick by forcing you to receive the spam with no option to unenroll, but it leaves me no choice but to delete this malware from my phone. The app is basically a computer virus.

I used to love this app but now it’s practically useless. It constantly deletes items from my lists with no warning even when the items are in stock in the store.

This app used to be really good—not without problems, but it was reliable and did what I needed. The new version deletes items from your cart without warning, like they were never there. I thought I was going crazy until I read these reviews and found out it’s happening to everyone. I now have to keep a separate list to jot down everything I add to my cart so I can check that it’s all there when I check out, which is baffling in a “you had one job, app” sort of way. Others have said that this happens when items go out of stock, which may be true—but it’s now happening so frequently that I’m starting to wonder if there’s a bigger problem with the app and/or the inventory tracking system. Either way, PLEASE STOP DELETING STUFF FROM OUR CARTS WITHOUT NOTIFICATION.

Since the latest update, it literally now takes about 10-15 seconds to add each item to my list, thus making the process long and arduous. I can’t be the only person complaining about this flaw. Please address this issue if you value and have a modicum of respect for your customers’ time. We deserve better than this shoddy update.

I’ve been lover of Wegmans since I was old enough to know about the store & even more so as I got older & started seeing the savings & health benefits. Their previous app before this big redesign was great. They switched to this new app a few years ago & despite customers upset about this app, it remains unchanged. It’s the slowest & glitchiest shopping app & in this day & age where mobile ordering is how most of us are getting our groceries nowadays, it’s crazy that they won’t budge with this app. Where Walmarts app excels, Targets mobile ordering top notch & with Whole Foods opening soon in our town, this app might just get deleted as it is no longer suiting my needs.
