I bought two tickets because the minimum you can upload is 5$ and when I used one it activated the other one thus stealing money. And when you put more money on their it takes it even though you have tickets. This app is a scam and they are busier trying to stop people from going through when they are stealing money from their customers. Do better

You cannot load and use a reduced rate card. They have me down as a “full fare” passenger, but I’m reduced rate, and there’s no way to show this and get my discount there. Meanwhile, trying to reload the reduced rate card with credits online results in unnecessary waiting or getting nothing at all, and having to hoof it to a MARTA station just to add credits for same-day travel is a hassle. MARTA seems out of touch with users online just as it is in real life (no new trains, just buses). It’s the 21st century, and online functionality should be instant and transferable across environments (webpage, app, watch, etc). My account on breezecard.com should also be available and usable on the app, for example. I wish Atlanta had a transit agency who gave us what we needed.

Aside from the barcodes actually scanning now, everything else is somehow even worse. The app continually shuts down, restarts, or logs you out. It’s very inconsistent and sometimes the barcodes will come up invalid even when I just purchased a ticket. There is no accessibility through Google wallet and the overall in-app experience is super disappointing. I was expecting an improvement and it feels like I got the opposite.

I’m so happy that MARTA is continuously evolving. Can’t wait for what’s next.

I purchased two passes to see how the new app works and it has me at a negative balance of -2.50, that’s odd because my tickets were purchased with my debit card. Glad I lock my card after every transaction because it continued to try and retrieve money from my account for already purchased tickets
