ITA Airways for Android

Italy seems to unable to find an English-speaking basic programmer to make any app anywhere be English all the way through every level of choices, and this is no different. It lets me go all the way through the registration process, but when I try to sign in or login in (because those are both options on the home page, along with guest🙄) it tells me in Italian it can’t figure out who I am. No ability to send a message to my email that might verify or help. Oh, and while I was screwing around with this miserable app, the price of the flight went up. Back to Ryan Air for me!!

As other reviewers have noted, this app lacks the most basic functions, such as locating your gate, luggage carousels, notifications of delays, tracking your incoming plane, etc. It offers the option of putting boarding passes in Google wallet, but I could not get the app to do so. It’s a shame that the airline can’t provide a better app, because the actual experience of flying ITA can be quite good.

An airline app is only as good as the airline that created the app. ITA is a bad airline and so is this app. The app is very difficult to use and once you manage to check in for a flight, it provide no status or update information whatsoever. Just like the airline itself. I had a missed connection in Rome, due to a late inbound flight, and ITA and the app provided no information on my next flight, where to get help or anything. If Lufthansa is investing in ITA, they have a lot of work ahead of them.

I requested for the published status match, offered by the airline. I sent all documents as requested, the status match was denied, stating that the elite card I sent was not clearly readable. The card could be perfectly read. What a nonsense.
