The app also has several nice watch complications that show the battery level of the Android. The app will also notify you when your Android battery is low! The developer is very responsive and will answer your questions or help you with issues very promptly, as he did for me. After following the directions and checking all the boxes flipping all the switches I have ended up with nothing more than a phone battery meter for my watch. Also this thing chews through the battery life on your watch.
