The bike service is fine, but they don’t give you any clear notifications about if you don’t log out the current plan after use the bike, the subscription will be keep repeat daily/weekly/monthly, I think Careem use this way to stolen users money!!!
Be aware of extra charges not displayed on the app! Don’t be fooled by the 20dhs day pass! If you don’t return the bike to the dock before 45 minute you’ll be charged extra! I only found out after calling customer services to explain why I got charged the day after!
this is the big scam . I’ve been charged over 160 derham and my friend 40 derham extra. There is nothing on the app to tell you what is the extra charges and me and my friend got the bike at the same time and we return it at the same time. So why I've been charged that much? Not the same amount as my friend?! Big scam. DO NOT USE THIS APP
Unfortunately they seem to be the only bike rental app company in town. Be warned that if you sign up for an account to use their bikes with a foreign number that they may send multiple codes to verify your device. This seems to trap the app in a loop where you will not be able to log in as it will keep on requiring a new code. Customer service is useless as they will just tell you that multiple sign on attempts violate their terms and conditions and you will need to log in from a different device as the current one will be blocked. Tried from a second device, same result. Pathetic. Luckily there are other bike rental companies by the marina that allow you to pay in person to rent.
I tried Kareem Bike for first time . Good reliable bike with reasonable price , however why should I have to return a bike every 45 minutes ? This is so stupid system , I was so concern about finding next station , my over all ridding experience was so stressful . You don’t want to be charged additional 10 AED if you exceed 45 min ride . This is like renting a car and then you need to return the car every 45 min . If you want to charge people extra money then put price per hour . I rather to get any bike than renting Kareem bike. First time and last time .
