Newport Cliff Walk Audio Guide for Android

Walked the Cliff Walk from 40 Steps to the Breakers, and found this to be very helpful. It adds a lot of value to what you’re seeing. Planning to walk the rest on another visit, but I did “listen ahead” already and enjoyed the stories.

The narration was clear and interesting. Added a lot to the long walk. The map and GPS location helped us. Used my phone with earbuds, which worked fine. My only minor issue was that the info was repeated at several sites. Would recommend this tour.

I was in Newport for a long weekend and decided to take a morning jog on this highly rated trail. I was very curious about the gorgeous mansions and homes along the route, so I downloaded this app and was not disappointed. It gave me all the information I needed (and then some) about the buildings and the landscape. I especially liked the GPS auto play, since it meant I could keep my phone in my running sleeve as usual. This feature even worked in airplane mode so that I could conserve battery!

I love the cliff walk. Go there a few times every year. Saw the app and decided to buy it just out of curiosity. It was great! I learnt so much more! Now, when we have friends visiting us, I am going to recommend they use the App on their walk rather than rely on me for information 😀

My wife and I have walked the cliff walk 10 times in the past few years. We had some guests and we brought them here. I downloaded the app and listened to the first few points in advance. They were excellent. The stories were not too long, not too short. It did not overwhelm any of us. As we walked we were looking at the circle on the map. As soon as we go in it, the story started. The stories were so nice that a few other people also walked with us. Only suggestion I have is about putting more info about parking. Take a water bottle with you. Fully charge the battery. A lot of pictures can run through the battery fast.
