What a tease. setup to be the best custom folder app in perhaps a decade = but - there is NO WAY to import your own base folder design and put text on top of it? HUH? and ZERO support, no documents, nothing. Sure, the app Color Folders is barely anything - but all the apps promise more and deliver NOTHING. Someone wrote about importing png files. No, that doesn't work either.

ARTISTS - give this app a try! This is such a fantastic app and so incredibly easy to use, but some people do NOT engage in drag and drop enough to understand the simplicity of the Macintosh. When you launch the app a window full of colorful folders appears and if you just want to work with color, you just pick a color of your choice and you drag any folder onto that colored folder and POOF! your folder changes to the color and style of the folder. If you want to change the folder back to the way it was, there is a folder in the app window labeled "RESTORE," and you just drag your Finder folder there to revert it back to a regular boring folder. In the same way if you drag an image onto any of the app folders, the folder you choose just ABSORBS the image and THEN you simply drag a desktop folder to the same place and POOF! the folder becomes blessed with your image choice… Drag and Drop your way to happiness with this awesome app!

I use this daily to organize project files and love how easy it is to use. However, since updating to Big Sur, the text background is not colored anymore. It would be fantastic if the app had a setting to have that part colored again. Super-helpful when organizing massive amounts of files in list view. I would add a sixth star if that functionality was added back in.

I used something similar called Folder Brander a long time ago. It wasn't as easy to use as this app is. I really like the addition of text and icons. My only wish would be that there could be different styles of folders. Thankfully it is easy to make such folder in another program, save them as a png and this program will store them for you. Niiiice! The ability to make the default folder transparent or hold a picture is very nice as well. I am always glad to see the no data collected statement. There really is no reason to do so with this app. Speed is excellent. It works beautifully in Big Sur on my new M1. All in all a fun little app. Great job!

User interface must be leaned by trying. Not that hard. Does everything I need. Tip: keep icons small and simple or you can't see them in Finder.
