6 things about Breathe - 1 Minute Meditation

1. It may feel awkward, to begin with, but for the entire exercise place the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth, just behind your front teeth.
2. If you're feeling stressed or feel like you need to settle your nerves, practice to get a "hit" of calm.
3. Ever have issues falling asleep? The 4-7-8 method is a deep-breathing trick that can make insomniacs drop off to sleep in less than a minute.
4. To help fall asleep, practice when you get in bed or if you wake in the night.
5. Making a whoosh sound, breathe out through your mouth for 8 seconds.
6. You may feel a little light headed when you begin.

  • Uneven counting

The counting isn’t even and it drove me but - probably a sign I need this app! It’s a slow 1, then fast 2,3 then long pause before the 4.

  • Needs Time Zone Support

I like the app, but find it annoying that the reminders can’t update to current time zone.

  • Better than a sleeping pill!

I started using this every night about five years ago when I was having a lot of trouble falling asleep. Now, along with several other nighttime rituals, the 4-7-8 Breathing is so linked with bedtime that I almost always fall asleep before the 8 cycles are over! And it is great for a dose of instant calm in the middle of a stressful day, too!

  • Basic

Way to basic compared to other breathing apps.

  • I would say it’s good.

    It’s a good app. I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star but still awesome.
