Let me just say 20% on fees is extremely unreasonable. Y’all are having me watch a dog for a week for $150 and people will expect you to be there most of the time…I know you can “adjust your fees to whatever you want” but you will literally never get booked if you don’t have the minimum up as your pay unless you are in a high need area….like bruh y’all are literally barley providing a service 10% is more then reasonable 😒
Rover has been a blessing as a single dog mom!! So many amazing people work on this app! Haven’t met a dog sitter I didn’t love. And jack loves them all too!
My princess loves meeting new people. I love this app so much because of its convenience, the customer review are so very helpful. I love that the sitters send me pictures and love my puppy.
Good for making connections but they do take a large portion of the profit
IF YOI HAVE A PROBLEM, ROVER WILL DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO NOT HELP YOU. I had to take my 15-year-old dog to the vet after she came home from a 5 day stay with a Rover sitter with severe skin inflammation from being left in her diaper for too long without being changed. My dog had to be treated at the vet and the bill was just under $300. When I told Rover about the situation they covered the cost of my dog’s stay, but after reviewing my case refused to pay my vet bill. Apparently, dermatitis (which literally just means skin inflammation, by the way) is classified by Rover as a chronic condition and therefore not covered by the Rover Guarantee. So Rover stuck me with a $300 vet bill after my dog had to go to the hospital directly due to sitter negligence. When I tried to leave a review on my sitters page, the sitter replied to my review and lied about the situation, twisted things to make me look like the villain, and called my review a “false review.” when I told Rover they didn't do anything about it. So if you’re using Rover take pictures of your dog before they stay with a sitter. Inspect your dogs condition fully incase anything happens, because Rover will not help you otherwise. Stay safe, everyone!
