APK (Android Package Kit) files are the raw files of an Android app. Learn how to install wayback-machine.apk file on your phone in 4 Simple Steps:
Yes. We provide some of the safest Apk download mirrors for getting the Wayback Machine apk.
This latest version of Wayback Machine requires me to give access to my entire history of every page all the time. This is unnecessary. Google's new Safari extension allows developers to ask for access only for specific websites or only for one day. But Wayback Machine doesn't want to give users that power. Furthermore, this App Store privacy notice says that Wayback Machine is linking our browsing history, and contact info to our identity. This is unnecessary and unacceptable. I'm uninstalling now.
This update fixed most of the qualms I had with the extension previously, so I enabled it for the first time in ages. However, I'm frustrated that it refuses to save a specific page without you logging in first, even though you can easily do that without an account when on archive.org's site directly. A major flaw in an otherwise great service!
So at first, I wasn't sure what other reviewers were referring to ... But I get it: 1. Browse to some site you use all the time with no interest with what that site looked like in the past. 2. The site appears with an injected modal (blocking) dialog about Wayback Machine for that site. 3. Click the close button, read ... click a link to another page on that site ... 4. See #2 above ... and so on & so on. 5. Uninstall or Disable Extension I think disabling might be the best approach as you might want to use this intentionally on occasion. But this won't succeeed in its current form as an annoynce more than a utility.
Literally SPAMs websites you visits with thousands of requests causing IP bans....
Warning!!! Don't install this app / extension in Safari. They install a pop up promoting their app on most website pages and does not give you an easy way to remove the pop ups. I deleted the safari extension and their pop up keeps showing up. I'm calling Google Support to complain and to help me remove them from my new Android. They use to be a great resource.
