First, my apologies to the developer. I understand that this is a free app designed for IPEVO cameras. I found it because I bought a competitor's document camera which was incorrectly described as having Android software support. Since it's a UVC (simple webcam) camera, there were few options. After some searching I found this app, and it worked, and it works well for my basic purpose. Capturing a b/w image works to the camera's ability, although the resulting file is actually RGB (large file size). The capture to PDF is somewhat buggy and unfriendly - each corner must be adjusted independently, and sometimes dragging the corner too far results in dragging the image instead. For now I'll stick with the basic functionality (which gives me full camera resolution) and just run the results through imagemagick and Adobe Acrobat to have the PDF. Unless Readdle makes Scanner Pro for Android, this will have to do.
It seems they have recently changed the app and interface. All the videos and articles I read to fix my problem of a blurry video show an app that doesn't look or feel like the one they were on. All I want to do is film and not have everything trace and blur. If someone knows how please let me know!!
The software and associated hardware works flawlessly with zoom and RingCentral. I haven't used it yet with other conferencing tools. I do like having the video controls on-screen; the menu versions of those controls are also more precise than the buttons on the device. I'll revisit after a few months of use, but my initial impression is: very nice.
The software has none of the buttons or tabs that the help videos show, and there is no obvious way to access any of the advertised features except for a simple snapshot. Useless.
I updated this app on Monday, and ever since, it keeps freezing! Please fix this asap,
