Day One for Android

I've been using Day One on my laptop for a couple of years now. I was formerly opening the app to joural, but recently i have enjoyed the convenience of simply clicking on the icon above the search bar to open a new entry page. What stopped me short this morning was that i couldn't copy and paste while in this mode. I thought to open the app itself, but when i did, the entry (which i had just saved before opening the app) was not synced (??) with the page i had just journaled via clicking on the icon. How frustrating!! Other than that, it's great. But I DO want to be able to copy and paste as well as sync entries. This is lame!!!!

I purchased the app and don't have a subscription plan. I currently have 1,607 journal entries. I add photoso and write about my day. It is a fantastic app becuase I use it to journal and highlight key photos I'd like to reflect on. The app on my phone reminds me of what I did on previous years. I think if you're pasionate about journaling this is the app to get. I really like that you can export your journaling too. I had a bad experince with a journaling app that was discontinued and I couldn't get my journal out of the app. I don't worry about that issue with Day One.

I love this app on my Android. Specifically the audio & transcribe option. Really disappointed that this is not an option in the Android App version because it saves me so much time. Will now be looking for a new app that has the same features for my Android and desktop.

When I first purchased this app I begrudgingly used it to record my emotional state while starting a ketogenic diet regimen. Like the diet plan, it was difficult to implement into my daily routine. I just didn't think about it. Out of sight, out of mind. Then something magical happened in my life. I moved to another country with no new friends or family to talk to. Occasionally I would share my feelings and thoughts with friends over long-distance phone calls and someone finally said, "You know, you should write down your expreiences so that they can be read by others." So I opened Microsoft Word and began typing my journal, but it was a horrible experience and was not convenient to my needs in this situation. Then I remembered I had purchased "Day One" 3 months ago. As I started using the app, I quickly saw value in upgrading to get the extended features. Now there is not a day that does not go by that I don't use the app. Now I am using the app to help me create my first book. Great job to the development team. Job well done!

I find the free version limiting and not that easy to use. I cannot find the features I need, such as writing daily pop-up prompts.
