i really like this game why i die losing everything i feel so pointless to lose the items i worked so hard for

after a while playing this game i listed what's different from the original game that i used to enjoy. the gameplay didn't change much, but now there is a stealth and vision system, weapons have special abilities, inventories are now based on weight instead of slots. however, instead of an open world roguelite survival, your tasks are now to "get in, grind, get out" and upgrade your base, which is now your main menu, with its own economy and replaces your crafting, farming and repairing mechanics. you can also send your survivors to do auto raids, which adds an idle factor to the game, co-op multiplayer is back and losing is as usual - unforgiving. there are a few things wrong about the game however, is that the game is now completely online which means you may experience lag, and is not a game you can kill time offline with. the worst part about it is because of that lag, it may cause zombies which you outran or killed, respawn thus making the gameplay unfair. another part being the zombies, while have better pathfinding ai, also can somehow open doors and attack you inside a building, making your best choice of evasion only by running and maneuvering around trees and buildings. most items such as food and tools are automatically converted to resources instead of being manually kept for future use. unless you plan to 100% explore the map, most of the exploration involves following the road hoping for some loot, and not many a times does it spawn secret locations with special items afaik. and since toolboxes are converted into rss and fuel is now a premium currency, vehicles are probably unlikely to be a feature in this game. character progression is removed as well, every character has the same skills as your own playstyle. other than coop, singleplayer loot-and-run, and idle gaming, there arent other fun game modes such as waves or difficulty modifying modes. quite disappointing all in all, but at least there are no white screen resets in the sequel.
