I’ve been trying to update the app for almost two years, but it never works. So I just click ‘Update Later’ because I’m tired of all of the failed attempts. Today, it says it has encountered a problem and I must update the app. And everything is locked up and nothing will work now. What a joke.
Did a software update on my GE Profile electric range because a message popped up from the app. After the update, my range cooktop stopped working. A GE tech just came checked my range and found communication issues between the touch control panel and the main control board and it will cost ~$1500 to replace all the control panel and control boards. I was told that the issues were there and the update revealed it. This is really unacceptable!!
I tried signing up for an account and it told me my brand new email address was already in use for another account. So I request a password reset and it says something went wrong and to please try again later. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall. Fail. From a brand like GE I expected much better than this garbage.
Nice idea but even bringing down my firewall I couldn’t connect my washer to my phone. Called tech support and wasted an hour of my time trying to connect them together. It really shouldn’t be that hard to connect an appliance to your app. I’m pretty tech savvy, we just built a smart home from the ground up, with WiFi hot spots running throughout our home I know it’s not me.
