New logos are a distraction to be frank, although the recent UI overhaul of ProtonMail is definitely a poorly assembled hot mess. Abandoning long-time paid users like myself, many functions were senselessly moved around (Back and Mark As Unread buttons transposed) without any regard for users' muscle memory; font sizes were diminished and placed into bloated seas of light grey-on-white, rendering data hard to parse; this new dark purple-on-black 1989 mall arcade color scheme might look cute for users, but it also incredibly hard to read — especially for an app that is TO READ emails. Sidebars have been turned into a mess, too. And then there are all the recent days of downtime, the glacial loading speeds, and constant Server Error messages. I have been a paid annual subscriber at the Professional (now Business) level for many years now, but losing my patience with Proton very quickly. I didn't sign up for Gmail aesthetics, but Proton seems hellbent on becoming some carbon copy of that. No thanks.
After last outage my iOS app keeps sending notifications about emails that already landed in inbox, think what it is happening is that emails arrive and then hours later notifications for those emails show up, both actions are out of sync.
I keep getting “cannot connect” every time I open the app. Have to keep clicking retry and even that does not work. Also, they have been saying for YEARS that they are going to have an IOS calendar app out “soon” but they clearly are not.
Splendid
7/11. I never had this problem. Not a good look!
