For more than 10 years now that I used the sling boxes and the SlingPlayer app in Tahiti and it is most perfect tool for the streaming. Nothing can replace this application. I hope it will never stop.
In Europe, I use the Slingbox to turn on my tv at home, which is physically in the United States. I can watch my tv, my shows, I can use it just like I was in my own living room. I keep my regular direct tv, or cable, and it’s like I never left the US. I can record shows, delete them, the Slingbox is amazing technology, it won’t be available to use in a couple years, and it’s going to make a huge difference in how we travel, we are going to be so sad.
Really enjoyed this hardware and app, but due to the discontinuation coming up, it is essentially useless come November 2022.
Just got new Fios TV one. The component cables are no longer an option with Fios. The AV (yellow white red) do not work and the updates Fios One boxes are not listed in the sling box app (Arris IPC4100). There’s only IPC1100 available and I cannot configure the settings now. Can you please update your devices ASAP?!
