When you scroll through the apps articles and without touching it your internet browser opens one of the many ads this app has it might of seemed like a simple mistake. Except that it constantly happens even when you were no where near their ad. This is just a scam and I’m surprised that it’s been allowed to go on as long as it has without Google or someone reporting and removing it. This was done deliberately by IGN for revenue and they should be ashamed and fined.
Not there yet. Needs maybe a way to personalize the news feed. More customization for the specific person using the apps interests. Good design though.
I opened the app for a moment and closed it. It took up 71% of my battery today.
There is a long-running issue where titles don’t show for posts. This means you are left scrolling through thumbnails and need to click in to see what the article is about. This used to be a problem of maybe 5% of the articles. It has been getting worse, and now it is for around 95% of the articles today. It would be fantastic if the IGN team had someone using the app on a daily basis to see if the app is actually usable. This could easily be due to something outside of the app team’s control, but someone needs to watch this since it has literally become unusable. I agree with the comments that say “great content, horrible app”. That’s what makes this painful since I actually want to find he articles that interest me, and now I can’t.
I’m truly embarrassed for all of you at IGN. If you think this is the best you can do, then you should all look for new jobs and bring in some competent people.
