I saw a few reviewers state that they couldn't get Acana License Mgr (LM) to import their data from the discontinued LicenseKeeper (LK) app. I had no issues. I exported from LicenseKeeper (still using Mojave since LK is 32-bit) as XML, however, I never even needed that XML option. Acana LM has a free app on their site to handle the import from LK. Downloading and running that, it asked me to both identify the LK app location and the location of the database (located in the Application Support folder). After that, it imported perfectly (from what I can see) with icons, notes, etc. I do wonder if Acana LM needs the LK app to be able to run in order to do the import. In other words, if you're already on a version of Android OS X that supports only 64-bit apps, maybe the import will not work even if you have the LK app still on your hard drive. Anyway, for those like me who were tentative to purchase with the reviews saying that importing didn't work, know that it worked for me. It was $9 well spent since I need to upgrade to Catalina soon and need a 64-bit license management app.
Trying to replace my LicenseKeeper application with this app but unable to far to import my old data? Importer application information on how to use is non existent! Tried to send a email but that keeps failing? Not a happy camper
Dont wast your money on this app, doesnt work allways crashes and when you do save a serial number in the app you go back to it and its gone!!!!!!!!
I bought this app specifically because LicenseKeeper is no long supported. Acana claims to be able to import all the data from LicenseKeeper and there is a free utility to convert data at the Acana site. Try as I might, the free utility in conjunction with the app DO NOT import all the data, only a small portion of the data. In addition, the import directions for the free app are incorrect. The path to LK data is correct. However, the path to the import folder are incorrect and are as follows: user/library/application support/Acana. No Acana folder exists and, as of yet, support has been nonexistent. Nonfunctioning application is useless to me.
