Rounding off to wholes and half values, is just not good enough. For exmple, 3.4 hz, is not possible here, 0.1-0.9 would make this an excelent tool, not the sound of rain. Please!
Nice looking piece of software that seems to work well. HOWEVER... The “rain” is really a simple white noise generator, not a looping recording of rain. That’s a shame! The app would really be improved by actual recordings of rain, brook, waves, etc. If this can be added in future versions, and implemented well, I’ll update my review to 5 stars for sure. Also, once the frequency is set, it sits there forever... Instead, it would be really nice if it could sweep through all frequencies in the chosen band (e.g. 13–38.5 Hz for beta) at a customizable rate. If it could also allow us to set the base frequency, even better—this way, you could have any combination of beats with base tones, vs. this low-Hz tones for slower beats to high-Hz tones for faster beats implementation. Overall, though, good start!
Writing this recieve just because the app needs better nature sounds, get some high quality rain sounds in here and I will give 5 stars no problem.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this app when I first downloaded it. The free version seemed pretty limited but it looked like it had potential so I went ahead with the in-app purchase to unlock all the functionality and I am glad I did. I am spending a LOT of time working on my 2 monitor computer set up in my home office. The office is quiet which contributes to my mind drifting off while I am working and I have tried playing meditation music that, while pleasant to listen to, didn't really keep me focused like I was hoping it would. I decided to search for an ambient sound app like rain or oceans sounds and I came across this app. I set the rainfall visualization with a dark background to full screen on my side monitor and, after playing around with the frequency generator, I set the audio to a low volume 6.5 Hz beat with a little bit louder rain noise. I found the combination of sounds both relaxing and invigorating (something I had not experienced at the same time before). I got started on my next work project and the next thing I knew, an hour had passed and I was done with a job I had expected to take at least 2-3 hours. Maybe I was just over estimating how long it would take but this app (used with headphones) really seemed to keep me intensely focused without feeling stressed. I am VERY happy with my purchase.
BUT if it anything like Wipr then I am going to enjoy it for sure. Thanks for all of your hard work dev. I appriciate you for sure!
