Night Owl HD for Android

During the day you can see unless you try to zoom in, if you zoom in to see who is at your home it’s fuzzy and pixelated. At night you might as well not even try you would need spotlights to see and then still have the problem of the picture not being good when you zoom in. My favorite issue though is no matter if I’m connected to wifi or using my data half the time I can’t even connect to my device. These issues are the main reason I won’t purchase anything new.

Zero stars for these Cameras and even lower score for their tech support. These guys have no idea what they are doing. I paid well over 500 for 8 paperweights. Cameras works fine only if you are sitting next to the DVR but useless when you really need them… when you are away. I tried to explain to tech support that a software/Patch is needed to allow the DVR to be accessed remotely and the only solution they could offer me was for me to buy the latest and greatest system. They clearly stated nothing else can be done and they cannot be accessed remotely even though it states right on the box that remote access is available. The box has a pic of a phone with camera view, that’s a lie. Save your 500 bucks and buy another brand. Night Owl will be bankrupt in the next 10 years due to horrible support and false advertising. Next I will contact Costco Corporate office to let them know they are selling cameras that do no not actually do what they are advertised to do.

This was working remotely but now all of a sudden will not. Will work on local network but not through other networks or cellular. Please update. I have not made any changes to the settings

You’d think a security company would want to keep their tech up to date. This app hasn’t been updated in 4 years. Don’t buy night owl. They’re customer service will charge you because you ask for support. Terrible company
