1. Bloomsbury Bakers is founded by 2 friends who met at a French culinary school in Bloomsbury Square, London and share a common passion for baking.
2. Salvaging her soul from the banks (and regaining her youth), she enrolled in culinary school in December 2011 and exchanged her Stuart Weitzmans for kitchen safety shoes.
3. She spent the next year eating, travelling and rediscovering her love for food and passion for baking, ending her sabbatical year with a stint as a stage at a Michelin star restaurant before returning to Singapore.
4. Hui Yi – Since she was a child, Hui Yi has always loved to bake (she became a Girl Guide only because she thought they sold cookies!) and has attended various baking classes conducted by well-known pastry chefs in Singapore.
5. Shortly after graduating from Australia in 2011, it was only natural that she decided to pursue her interest in baking and enrolled in culinary school instead of joining the rat race in Singapore.
