great content but the constant ads are so annoying...incessant promotion of peoples books as the lead to a few of the podcasts. obnoxious banter of hosts on some programs. constant advertising of local npr stations. repeating stories. its not that good. update 5/30/22 i deleted it again because when one story appears, the controls on the right side of screen are moved over, so you cant use them to fast foward through to the next one. the app is so bad, no one at npr bothers to use it or read any comments here. nothing about this app has ever been fixed or updated. yesterday, they ran zero stories on ukraine. as if the war doesn’t exist. it really should not be on the app store. update 6/25/22 sorry to report that they still haven’t changed the app. they play some of the most obnoxious ads on much of their stories. the editor who selects stories is boring. repeating the same themes every day, like mass killings, abortion, constant political conflicts, covid deaths , war of any kind, inflation, recession over and over. i skip more stories than i listen.
I only used this app for my morning commute but now that the CarPlay and is broken I can’t :(
So many reviews say the same thing. Will npr ever listen?
I loved the NPR One app. Until recently. It stopped working in Car Play. Says „Can‘t connect…“ Fir more than two weeks!!!! I have no idea why the developers can’t fix this!
