I have Slack on my Android and my Android. The Android notification count never changes, even though there's nothing new to read on the Android. I can't believe someone paid $27 billion for a glorified chat app that can't even get such basics to work.
Slack is great when it works. Unfortunately, on this Android version every other morning I get the message: "the application slack can't be opened."
There is no option for me to prevent Slack from starting up with my computer when I login. It is not in advanced other as the instructions state. I just uninstalled it to be done with it. I still use the slack service through another client. Iit is pretty redicilous to not be able to stop the app from starting up, which is well a basic requirement. How there could be a app that starts up by itslef without a way to disalbe it is beyond me.
As a software product manager, this app is fantastic keeping me in tune with my devs. Able to communicate with my porfolio owner all the way down to my junior engineers. Thanks Slack!!!
somehow the red dots/numbers don't show when there are new activities, missed several important DMs. I'm using Android M1.
