I gave it a try today, and found that it is very easy to use and seems to fit for my basic need for mindmapping. After a couple of hours of playing with it, I bought it in appreciation. But there is an issue that I keep encountering, which is that it gets sluggish and unresponsive especially when trying to move around and scroll up and down the maps. I use it on Android Mojave 10.14.3. I hope that the developer will put a fix out soon. Update: The issue of getting slugish has been addressed since version 1.9, and this developer continues to present proper updates as Google puts out a new Android. Thanks for the fix and updates.
Pros: Fast, attentive customer support Intuitive interface Highly customizable Super simple to link elements via option-drag (love this) Con: On my Android running OS 10.13.6, a sheet disappeared (it’s available in the document menu, so it wasn’t deleted) & the software grew sluggish on the second day of use. Now it’s stopped loading mindmap documents altogether no matter how I try to open them. I’m bummed because this is one of the best mind map software interfaces and toolsets I’ve tried. Maybe this is an isolated incident and it will work great for you.
I am a BSN nursing student and have been using this app for my care plans and it is amazing! Definitely keeps my notes neat and consistent. Highly recommend!
I’ve worked and tested nearly all of the avaialble mindmapping tools for the Android and I mindmap a lot. This app is nice, but the controls are just a little clunky and hard to understand. Tough to tell how to use the color/shade options for different items, this can easily be fixed with clearer UI work by the developer. The export for PNG was really nice and sharp. I really suggest that when a user right clicks an object that all of it’s possible attributes appear (color, shading, etc), otherwise, it’s hard to tell in the control pane on the fight. I think MindNode is the best mindmapper for the Android, it’s a fluid experience as you build a mindmap, but Junkyard is one of the better free alternatives.
The strength of this conceptual and mind mapping tool rests on its rich mix of robust features, it is offering almost perect conceptual freedom, you can edit your nodes with rich text, you can easily set refferences to local files (drag and drop), and you can search inside documents in which results will show some context. There are some minor bugs, but if you find yourself switching constantly between different conceptual apps for different purposes and always accepting an uncomfortable trade-off in possibilities, then you should try this one and invest some time to understand its potential. (if you have trouble after the in-app purchase uninstall and reinstall the app to avoid frequent restore requests)
