Secret Files X for Android

I had the free version of this app but it wouldn’t accept folders without the $4.99 upgrade. I’m a photographer and many of the photos on my hard drive are proprietary. I had been looking for an app that would password protect folders .. lock them away as it were. There are no instructions whatever as to how to use the app. So one is left on their own to intuitively figure it out. I dragged my “photography” folder into the app thinking it had relocated it. I deal with thousands of files and have developed the habbit of cleaning things up as I go. So I deleted the folder that used to contain the photography folder. Little did I know that this app doesn’t change the file path, it just makes the particular folder invisible. So deleting the old path deleted the folder. So I just lost thousands of photos. I contacted Try Best as that’s the only way of getting support and they responded with some simplistic help like “search for the folder” and “look in the trash”. Apparently, it is beyond them to actually write out instructions for use. Not that getting my money back is going to fix having lost thousands of photos that people paid me to take but I’m still going after it with Google and my bank.

It only hides the folder which is not helpful. Hidden folders are easily seen an opened. I opened it in 2 seconds after this program hid it. I was looking for password protection of the actual folder, not to hide it. That would be a nice add on, but useless by itself. I would like a refund.

If you try to uncheck a file, it wants you to add something else to your Android from the program. If you try to force uncheck, it says the file maybe forever lost. What’s the point of protecting the files if the program might lose or corrupt it?
