Queue for Android

This app came along at a time when I was getting bored of my usual podcast players and looking for something new. The UI is as exciting as anything I’ve used recently and this latest update addressed the downloading bug, which was my remaining hesitation about switching entirely. I’m now looking forward to CarPlay integration.

Truly an outstanding app. Podcasts works sort of but not as well as you’d expect. Other apps are both ugly and overblown. Queue just works. I don’t need complicated. I listen to a few podcasts that come out weekly. I generally just want to listen I order. That’s not asking so much. But only Queue delivers. I’d love to see a watch version for times I’m out without my phone. That would be incredible. Thank you

Ever since I switched back from android (where I used Antennapod) I’ve been looking for a simple podcast app that prioritizes an easily manageable queue. Queue does that beautifully. The minimalist design is so refreshing - it’s a delight to use. The features and settings are carefully selected to make this an incredibly accessible app - one of the few that I could recommend to my mom and not feel like she was missing out on a better podcast experience. Only three things I’ve been missing from other podcast apps: 1. Allow back/forward controls on headphones and cars to the back/forward in Queue. 2. Add a “send to bottom” feature to “triage” episodes to the bottom of the queue. 3. Add silence skipping and voice boost.

Great so far except for the lack of ability to use inside CarPlay.

Every podcast app has *always* done too much, this category is uniquely bad at settings and configuration creep. Queue is the single best remedy to this problem - the podcasts come in, you listen to them, and then they go away. Nothing to configure - perfect!
