It’s great to use as a shopping aide. So cool how it can identify and sort colors accurately just by touching on a photo.
Easy and intuitive to use
This app is a great idea and I like how it gives you a breakdown on chroma, hue, and saturation. However, it only gives you one or two options that don’t really make sense sometimes. If a scan a light gray, why is bright winter the first one that comes up? Why do the sliders of the lavender color say it’s almost 100% cool but it’s a spring shade and nothing else? I wish this app showed all the palettes each color is compatible with, maybe with a percentage. For example, this color is most compatible with light summer, but can also work with cool summer, bright winter, etc. I think it would be cool if the sliding color scales were adjustable to really understand what needs to change to make a color work for your season. Again, really cool idea for an app, but it’s not super useful as it is right now.
i know what color season i am after a mild deep dive sometime last year, but sometimes it’s hard to keep track of what colors are best, and HueIQ makes it so, so simple. you can take pictures of anything wherever you are, and it will tell you the season of any color that you select in that photo. but even better, you can upload photos which means you can see if the clothes you are buying online are in your season which takes out so much squinting at my screen— the app does the work! on top of that, it tells you how warm/cool the color is, how deep/light the color is and how deep/bright the color is which is really cool because i don’t have a great eye for that kind of thing on my own, and it’s helpful! i feel like i’m learning and already see this helping me pick out my next shade of lipstick or seeing if i actually even own any summer nail polish colors.
HueIQ is the first color analysis app I've used that is actually practical. The color season categorizations seem super accurate. I thought I was starting to develop the eye for identifying colors in my season, but the app is even better, which is exactly what I need in order to shop online and know a color is going to work. The alternative of trying to match clothes to colors in premade palettes for my season is just too much work, this is much easier. The developers clearly know what they're doing—this app is a must-have. Bonus: I already know what my color season is and the app's quiz got it right! Well worth the money. Minor wish: I’d love to see an option to edit saved palettes in the future, but overall, this app is fantastic!
