My daughter is learning Japanese and both Human Japanese and Human Japanese Intermediate are her favorite tools for studying. She’s tried various other CDs, books, and programs. None of them get any use because she finds everything she needs from Human Japanese and I think she keeps coming back to it because it’s fun, easy to use and breaks the complexities of the language down in easy to digest chunks and provides spoken word examples to reinforce the learning.
Really good tool. The multiple forms of communication are well balanced. Audio recordings are very helpful. Translations and audio are easily accessible thorughout the lessons. Discussion and narratives that provide essential context are well done. User interface is intuitive and well done. I recommend it. I wish there were two additional features. 1) Printable vocabularly lists. I would like to be able to work on vocabularly when I am away from my Android. 2) Sync with mobile app. I'd be willing to spend more on a complimentary Android app to keep in sync what part of what chapter I've left off with.
Let me get something straight, this is probably one of the best books out there for learning intermediate level Japanese. The explanations are very detailed and clear and i have no doubt that it will help anyone aspiring to learn japanese. So I will say it again, if you are reletavely new to learning japanese and/or have completed the first human japanese (which i would also recommend), YOU MUST GET THIS APP! You wont regret it. There is nothing else like it and its at a surprisingly cheap price for what it is. I would pay 3 times the cost and it would still be worth every cent. I want to personally thank the human japanese team for the hard work and effort put into this app! Thank you!
I really love how this series teaches Japanese. I enjoyed the first app immensely and now this is more Japanese goodness presented in a fun and engaging way. There are many upgrades to be seen in this version which really makes it feel like an improvement. The content is always relevant and interesting to read. If you are remotely interested in learning Japanese this (and obviously the preceding version) is the best place to start! And continue! :)
Perfect app for taking your Japanese studies to the next level. It clearly and with humor explains the grammar points that each chapter focuses on and also introduces more and more kanji into the mix, so in later chapters, you find yourself reading kanji just like it was nothing. This is THE best way to learn kanji, see it in action. Unclear on the meaning of the sentence or word? Want a little extra detail in a sentence? The Ingredients are there to clarifiy. Everything is is there at your fingertips. The material is presented in a logical order and the sense of humor makes it fun. Technically, the quizzes are fast to load and if you want, you can set it to not allow you to go further until you take the quizzes. Or not. It's up to you (and it can be changed at any time). I love that they have various screen sizes to choose from based on your monitor size - in settings, you have small medium or large. Select the setting that best suits you. This app is a lot of fun and you will learn a lot. Five stars all the way.
