Base64Anywhere is a Developer Tools app by John Bowers. Base64Anywhere is a OSX service and application that allows you to encode files from a right click context menu in Finder, as well as allowing you to encode text as Base64 or decode from Base64 with a right click from IDE's, text editor's, terminals, etc. There are many Base64 encoders/decoders, but Base64Anywhere is about allowing you do your encoding or decoding contextually.
APK (Android Package Kit) files are the raw files of an Android app. Learn how to install base64anywhere.apk file on your phone in 4 Simple Steps:
Yes. We provide some of the safest Apk download mirrors for getting the Base64Anywhere apk.
1. Base64Anywhere is a OSX service and application that allows you to encode files from a right click context menu in Finder, as well as allowing you to encode text as Base64 or decode from Base64 with a right click from IDE's, text editor's, terminals, etc.
2. * Encode or Decode text inline if you application supports it (text editors, programming IDE's, etc) or you can send the text to the Base64 interface where it will be displayed with its encoded and unencoded representations.
3. * Base64 encodes whole files (including JPGs/PNGs/etc) with a single click from finder, and easily formats base64 encoded images for inclusion in CSS or web pages.
4. * When decoding Base64 encoded data, binary data will be shown in Hex, with the option of revealing printable characters.
5. * When decoding Base64 images, the data will be recognized as an image and instead of seeing the decoded bytes, an image will be displayed.
6. There are many Base64 encoders/decoders, but Base64Anywhere is about allowing you do your encoding or decoding contextually.
7. Wherever you see a file or text that needs encoding or decoding, you can simply select and right click to perform the operation you need.
8. This is very handy for reverse engineering Base64 encoded data structures.

if you are pimariily needing to decode base64 strings this is great. if you are tryting to encode strngs... not so good. it assumes whatever file you open is base64 encoded. It would be helpful if the developer could add some button that will put the content of the encoded text to the plain text. I did not like that I could not type in the plain text filed and have that get encoded. I was only allowed to copy/paste strings into the boxes
I was just about to write my own Service for decoding bas64 text, but then thought: Maybe someone else already did that. And here we are. It's even free! And works on older Android versions, too. It can hardly get any better. Thank you so much for the effort to put it out here, Mr. Bowers.
Thiis app is perfect. I needed to test that some base64 encoded pdfs were correct when downloading them from an API. This made doing that super easy.
I needed to test base64 encoding an image for an email today, and found a few free scripts/ websites that would do it but wanted a utility to do the same on my Android. I was kinda surprised to see a bunch of apps on the app store that cost money - one was from 2013 and people had said it didn't work on retina macs, yet it was still pretty high in search results. I can tell you, this one works, its' free (as of this writing) and it does exactly what you'd want it to do - drag a file to it and it base64 encodes it. Assuming the file is an image, it even has a bunch of 'helpers' - for example, hit the "HTML" button and it displays an IMG tag with the SRC filled out so all you need to do is copy/paste. It's a great utility and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the developer taking the time to create this and share it. - Jack
