So, for viewing references, all is well with this app. But when it comes to the ($10) annotation add on, much is to be desired. As opposed to embedding actual annotations in the reference, it annotates the underlying pdf, and replaces the reference with that pdf. Haven’t tried Zotero since the Zotero Mobile app is already good, but with mendeley at least this app is not great, and the lack of trial (their idea of a “trial” is letting you annotate a random pdf that does not sync) makes this a bad purchase.
The annotation and markups do not sync between the web importer and the Mobile PaperShip or the Android PaperShip. I paid for both Mobile PaperShip and Android PaperShip. But, if the sync is not working, what is the point in even claiming that one can use this with Mendeley? There are multiple good apps to read a paper if you are not bothered about having a sync between Mendeley. The only reason to use PaperShip is that it is the only app that offers sync between Mendeley. I don’t see this basic purpose of this app working.
The APP is great. It needs more control for the user. It imported ALL my files from Mendeley, when I just wanted to import the current research dissertation. I have not been able to manage the volumen of files, it imported from Mendeley.
Downloaded for use with mendeley. Unfortunately login does not work with this app.
The developer abandoned the app. Doesn’t respond to email. There’s already Zotero ios app that free and infinitesimally better than this garbage
