It’s not a terrible app and way cheaper than it’s competitors. HOWEVER the app is very buggy. For instance it will say my son completed his tasks for the day but when he tries to open them they automatically close out before he has the chance to actually play them. He loves the app and is currently 3 doing the “preschool” tasks. I don’t see much improvement yet but we have only had the app for about a week. Hopefully HOMER sees this review and works on the issues within the app because after a quick google search I have seen that I’m not the only one having issues with the bugs.
I hate the add
I like majority of the programs for my child but we are a black family so I want more representation on that. Also the freezes constantly it frustrates my son, we have to clear out the app and bring it back up. I am paying for this app so I don’t want my son to deal with this while learning. Needs: more black representation and fix the bugs. Other than that it’s fine
I wish this was better executed because the graphics are cute and my son likes the games. My first and primary gripe is how inconsistent and buggy the app is. I find myself having to restart the app a lot. Many of the activities take forever to load. The “Daily Play” is consistently a dud. It freezes when the game starts, then suddenly you hear “You did it! Wahoo!” then kicks you over to the next game where it does the exact same thing! I notice that Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) is a really big feature in these types of apps. SEL in sounds like a positive thing to teach (who doesn’t want their child to learn kindness? Or empathy?) but it has been hijacked by education ideologues intent on pushing an agenda many parents disagree with. Use this information how you want and keep your ears open.
I like to everything about the app that it was great until suddenly both kids ran out of levels. Neither of them are fully reading, only small words and there are just no more levels and no sort of celebration ending type of activity either. I contacted the support team and they said yes there are just no more levels after this certain point. Very disappointing
