It only ever mentions people being born. And as a history teacher who actually knows his stuff I don't even know half the people mentioned.

No John Lennon Birthday

Apparently Camille Saint-Saens' Oct. 9 birthday is more significant a day in history than John Lennon's on the same day.

Okay app on iPhone

This is an okay app on the Android, but is so much better on the Mobile. Besides a much richer graphical interface, on the Mobile there will often be a link related to an event in history. For example, today (June 23) is when the Taft-Hartley Act became law in 1947. On the Mobile, the words "Taft-Hartley Act" link to a short article within the app which explains it. The Android app lacks that. Overall, though, it's useful and worth a buck.
