When attempting read copies I get a password query every time. When I enter my password the app goes to sleep for 5 minutes then comes back with “unable to contact server”. Then, after multiple attempts the server grants access, but, when I attempt to read another article I get another password query. Yep, it starts timing out again. Total crap of an app ! Will attempt to cancel, but, wait, I can’t! The app won’t let me access my account, once again it times out on password. IMHO, this magazine is useless through this crap app!
Can't get any of my paid yearly subscription for all mag subscriptions from this company that I've subscribed to for years including "shooting times", "guns and ammo", "handgun magazine", "rifle shooter magazine" and "in fish magazine" it's going on 3 months???? Don't buy until they make compatible with newest iOS....
I paid through iTunes and have yet to see a digital edition of the magazine. The app is managed by intermediaoutdoors which allows you to subscribe through them directly or through iTunes. How intermedia knows if you paid through iTunes I don't know. All intermedia was able to determine was that I didn't pay them for the subscription. I've contacted both intermediaoutdoors and Hand Guns, but neither can resolve the issue. If you really want the magazine, get a paper copy - USPS has yet to screw up this bad.
I would like to understand why such a BAD customer support!!!! I'm a current subscriber but can't see the latest issue on the Mobile. It's insane that I've sent 5 emails asking for support and I have not received a single reply. Having the same issue on Handguns Magazine and Guns & Ammo magazine. Please help or give me my money back!!!!!! UPDATE Still having the same issue... Even though I'm a current subscriber to Handfuns and Guns and Ammo magazines it's requiring to pay $4.99 for the lates issues on each magazine respectively. After sending emails to the publisher for over a week with no response I decided to post a negative review. Right after the posting of the review I got an email from the publisher (Customer Service - Travis Daniels) apologizing and with some steps to fix the issue and if that didn't work he advice to contact iTunes support since they were to blame. After contacting iTunes support (Laura) she verified that I in fact am a current subscriber and that everything was fine on their side and that I needed to contact the publisher to fix the issue. Now I'm back trying to contact the publisher unsuccessfully for almost a week!!!! Honestly, it's shame that the customer service is this bad since both are great magazines!!!
No problems so far with update. plenty of problems with the upgrade to iOS8, but i’m not pointing fingers at this app. it appears to have been a newsstand or iOS 8 issue that caused some incompatibility with many newsstand apps. It’s working well and includes same great content.
