I have verified they the systems is update and pulled in still days/weeks at a time the location is not working.
I’ve owned VYNC for business for about a year and as compared to other services and products that I’ve used ie Automile I find links to be marginal. I’ve experienced the system completely shutting down while my crews are on route or at a job site, it’s happened many times over the year. So when it disconnects it doesn’t log the data for the day such a start and stop times routes etc. which is the primary reason why I purchased it. The reporting it seems to be robust it’s very difficult to sift through to get the information that I need. As an example other products I can pull up an Excel spreadsheet that lists the start and stop times for each location the driver services. This app requires me to go day by day to get the same data or to export data from another report and do the math in order to determine how long the crew has been in a particular location. There’s definitely a lot of possibilities for future advancement however it appear that at least from a mobile app perspective the company has given up on trying to improve those reporting features as I noticed that the app hasn’t been updated in well over a year if not longer. For some businesses this is exactly what you need however for businesses that provide services that need to have more robust reporting such as time on property transit times between locations you may want to search elsewhere. I’m not saying VYNCS doesn’t supply and report the data what I’m saying is as a heavy user I don’t have time to navigate download and try to manipulate spreadsheet data that should be available in one place. My recommendation to VYNCS would be to invest some time in providing a little bit more robust reporting features as well as minimizing drop times between the ODBii tracker device and cell phone signal. For the money this product is OK however as I sit here making a decision whether to renew for another year I thinl for the money I’ll do a little more research before I commit and see what else is out there. Automile is more expensive but it was incredibly accurate and provides way more reporting in a logical sense and it didn’t require me to spend time extracting the data I needed. This is my two cents on this product. Mulch
The website clearly states in big letters no monthly fee. What they don’t tell you about is the annual fee otherwise your device gets bricked. That’s something you should know before you buy one. Otherwise the device am at work all right.
This app is really bad! I’ve used Vyncs for about two years and I can’t recall one time I’ve successfully located any of my three vehicles from this app. When I log onto a Vyncs from a laptop it works seamlessly, but forget about finding your vehicle from a phone app, a complete waste of time.
Haven’t had any problems with it… think it’s doing good!
