VerbTeX LaTeX Editor for Android

It’s very functional, one minor annoyance is having to tap “Done” every time I want to compile — would be nice if that option were available always. (I’m using my Mobile with a keyboard).

We’re almost in 2022 and apps like this still have hard coded workflows for saving to Dropbox and box. iCloud Drive was added 4 or 5 years ago. It’s time to finally adopt it.

First, it is totally free. Second, I just use it to write notes. It basically meets my demands.

Response to Dev: I do not have a Android and moving Tex files between Mobile and computer is tedious anyway. The app has no native support for the “Files” app in iOS. Enabling that would open a world of possibilities up. —- original review below —- I cannot use this app which forces me into Dropbox or Box (neither of which I use nor want to use) for cloud synchronizing options. The “local” mode puts files in some unknown location on my Mobile rather than allowing me to select a location through iOS’s native Files app. If that was enabled, I could at least point to my Nextcloud cloud sync folder and have more flexibility in where files are stored. Another further limitation of the local mode is I can’t immediately tell how projects are saved. And since I cannot import any existing project and don’t have to time to create something from scratch, I’m left frustrated trying to setup this app for production.
