Quizlet: Learn with Flashcards for Android

I loved Quizlet and used it for years to help my education, however after the recent change implementing a subscription feature locking users out of the most valuable features it’s obvious quizlet does not care about the product they are putting out nor their consumers but rather only money. For a company in which has gained popularity off its own customers using it for its free study tools giving anyone regardless of their financial situation the opportunity to learn, they are now changing their tune making it obvious that they do not care 1 about learning but 2 about the students who actually use their platforms unless they are wealthy individuals, who already reap the advantages of their wealth in the education system. SHAME.

It’s truly sad to see that Quizlet has now started requiring people to basically pay to use their app. I use to use Quizlet every single time I had an upcoming test, because it’s an amazing way to study. During covid when I was virtual it was a literal life saver. Recently a few days ago while I was doing summer work, I noticed I couldn’t do test mode more than one time? Then I noticed that there was a limit on learn mode. It’s horrible that people now have to pay to even study. It’s honestly disgusting, do better Quizlet.

Why do we have to pay now?

Here lies a formerly useful tool that helped millions of children and adults alike study and memorize new information in record time. Now every useful feature is locked behind a pay wall (a very expensive one at that.) This app is as good as dead.

As a teacher, I used to have all my students use quizlet. It was the best tool for studying that every student could use no matter the background. I had a teacher account that I paid for, but now considering deleting due to the companies new paywall. Quizlet, you forgot who your target audience was. Sad. There are other ways to make money without subscription services.
